La tesi di Bonardello diventa un libro Stampa

Lo scorso giugno 2009 la Fondazione Ing. Luigi de Januario aveva assegnato all'ing. Matteo Bonardello del Politecnico di Torino il premio di Laurea 2009.
Oggi la sua tesi: "Studio tecnico ed economico di una pompa di calore geotermica con accumuli a cambio di fase." è diventata un libro e sarà pubblicata dalla casa editrice tedesca LAP Lambert Academic Publishing AG & Co. KG di Köln con il titolo inglese:The forefront in the design of Geothermal Heat Pumps  - Technical and Economic design of Geothermal Heat Pumps with Phase Change Storage.

Il Presidente della Fondazione ing. Luigi Iperti ha fatto l'introduzione del libro che riportiamo di seguito:

The Italian Foundation "ING. LUIGI DE JANUARIO" is particularly pleased to present the thesis of Eng.Matteo Bonardello, which was awarded the prize made available by the Foundation for the best thesis, on energy topic, for the year 2009. His work is carried out in the frame of the IEA-ECBCS (International Energy Agency – Energy Conservation in Buildings and Community Systems) Annex 48: “Heat Pumping and Reversible Air Conditioning”. It investigates and traces design guidelines for ground source heat pump systems (GSHP) with phase change storage (PCS) as well as the economic evaluation of the initial costs and the payback time of the plant. In particular the attention is addressed towards systems utilizing vertical U shape exchangers made in polyethylene (geothermal probes) with application for heat pumps. The thesis was recognised for its scientific merits and today the Foundation is honoured that this valuable work can be made available to all students through its publication.

Indeed it is in the purposes of the Foundation to promote the dissemination of knowledge for an orderly development of the energy sector, not divorced from respect for environmental values. Cultural and management  growth, through techniques of project management,  of the Industry and  Academia interested in the Italian plant  engineering  world are also a priority for the foundation. These themes are central because intimately linked to what was the  working activity of Luigi de Januario.

Luigi de  Januario,  an engineer,  naval officer until 1947, after some work experience in power plant engineering companies, since 1953 gave life to the GIE, where for over thirty years he has traveled his  professional career, as general manager and then as CEO and President. GIE was born as a consortium of  Italian companies, each one specialized in manufactoring  electromechanical equipment for power  generation.
In Luigi  de Januario was clear from the outset the aim of pooling excellent manufacturers because together they were able to provide complete  turn key power  plants, which were required overseas, especially in developing countries. The idea was successful and for a long period Italian Industry , through the  GIE, was able to compete in international markets with major manufacturers of electromechanical equipment from various European countries. De Januario had the great ability to harmonize the often conflicting demands of his private and public shareholders and to maximize the results achieving undeniable technical and commercial successes.  Very important was also the social interest in pushing  Luigi  de Januario to provide facilities at competitive prices with long-term funding to  those people for whom electricity  was a significant step forward in their human  and industrial development .

Today, the Foundation, founded in 1990, can count on the support of the Milan Polytechnic and  of ANIMP, the National Association of Industrial Plant.
Among the recent  achievement of the Foundation  we can list the publication of the book: " GIE, competition and success in the history of Italian electromecanical industry". It traces both the history of GIE,  from its foundation and epilogue,  and the passionate history of Luigi de Januario working life.
Another publication that has had the support of the Foundation is "Cursed Chernobyl" by Franco Velona and Francesco  Corbellini.

We are confident that the scientific work of Eng. Bonardello  will meet the interest of researchers and scholars from the  energy  field.
